Today you'll continue your discussions about love in groups. Look at the following cases and decide what to do and why. Write down notes and be prepared to talk!

Case: Britney and Casey

Brittney and Casey has been a couple for four years and want to get married. They are very much in love and want nothing more than to get married. The thing is they are only fifteen years old. What should they do? What can they do? What should their parents do?


Case: Joan and Peter

Joan is soon turning 40 (she would be reluctant to admit it, but it is true). She is in a long term relationship (and has been for the past eight years) with Peter (who is 30) and they live together. Both Joan and Peter have good careers and love their jobs. They do not have any children and are not sure whether they want kids or not, but they have discussed it. They know that it probably will get harder and harder to conceive the longer they wait, but can’t really make up their minds. Is not having a child a decision they might regret? What do you think they should do?


Case: Tom and Navid

Tom and Navid have been seeing each other secretly for seven months. Since they have a lot of common friends they have decided not to tell anyone until they are sure of their feelings for each other. Navid wants to tell them and his family as well but Tom is uncertain. Navid has talked to Tom about this several times, but he is still reluctant. What do you think Navid should do? Can/should he try to persuade Tom to agree to tell their friends?


Case: Marcus and Simone

Simone has been dating Marcus for more than a year but has found herself drawn to Marcus’ best friend Matt. She has tried to deny her feelings, but it doesn’t help – she is still attracted to Matt. Her relationship to Marcus is cooling down, but she likes how safe she feels when she is around him. Besides he is like a close friend to her and she can tell him everything (besides that she has feelings for Matt). What is the best solution to this problem? Try to help everyone in this situation.
